Pearl millet flour cooked with jaggery and water into a thick warming drink — the traditional Haryanvi winter health drink given to new mothers and consumed after physical work.
Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small pot.
In a small bowl mix bajra flour with 3 tbsp cold water to a smooth lump-free paste.
While stirring the boiling water continuously, pour the bajra paste in a thin stream.
This prevents lumps from forming.
Reduce to medium. Add grated jaggery. Stir until dissolved.
Add ginger powder and ajwain. Stir.
Simmer stirring for 6 to 7 minutes until the raab thickens to a thin porridge consistency — it should pour freely but have definite body.
Add ghee. Stir.
Pour into cups and drink warm.
